If you are an SME (employing under 50 people) considering recruiting an Apprentice, you can receive £1500 for taking on a new member of staff on a TyneMet Apprenticeship Programme.

Good news, if you are an employer employing less than 50 people and considering recruiting an Apprentice, you can receive £1500 for taking on each new member of staff on a TyneMet Apprenticeship Programme.

The even better news is that you can get £1500 per Apprentice for up to five new Apprentices. That's up to £7,500 plus up to five enthusiastic new team members training on a tailored Apprenticeship designed to meet your specific business needs.

Your business will qualify for this £1500 incentive if:

  • You have less than 50 employees
  • You haven't recruited an Apprentice, or used Apprenticeship funding to upskill current staff, in the last 12 months
  • You agree and commit to employing the Apprentices for at least the time it takes to achieve the relevant Apprenticeship framework
  • The Apprentices you intend to recruit is aged between 16-24 years
